This heart of mine
isn’t mine
It’s been used
I can tell
it was broken, once
but it’ll be
nonetheless
the best ever
I was given it
by a stranger
who wasn’t heartless
when they passed it away
I thank them
with their whole heart
and take it to soul
to make them proud
this heart of theirs
I’ll make it mine
